Solar Cue will not publish a savings or payback result that hides its tariff version, consumption pattern, export treatment or system assumptions.
Four layers of evidence
- Verified rule: a current programme, tariff or regulatory statement from the responsible authority.
- Changing input: a value such as AFA or Average SMP that must carry a period and retrieval date.
- User assumption: information such as daytime-use share, future load or financing terms.
- Calculated result: a range produced from the three layers above, never presented as guaranteed performance.
Domestic and business models stay separate
The current Solar ATAP guideline applies the applicable Energy Charge to domestic exported energy and Average SMP to non-domestic exported energy. A single formula for both audiences would misstate the programme.
Domestic export credit is constrained to the same billing period and cannot offset the Automatic Fuel Adjustment. Any eventual homeowner calculator must therefore distinguish direct self-consumption, import reduction, export credit and bill components that remain.
Inputs an eventual calculator must expose
- Jurisdiction and tariff version.
- Bill period and any applicable AFA.
- Estimated annual generation and loss assumptions.
- Direct self-consumption and export share.
- System degradation and component replacement assumptions.
- Quoted capital cost, financing fees and maintenance allowances.
- Low, central and high sensitivity cases.
